New Ulm, MN – Brad Finstad, Republican Candidate for Congress in Minnesota’s First Congressional District, was endorsed by the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation Political Action Committee.
“Having members of Congress who understand the unique challenges farmers and those of us in rural America face is more important than ever,” said Minnesota Farm Bureau President Dan Glessing. “We know that Brad will work with the Minnesota Farm Bureau to find solutions.”
“I am honored to have the support of the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation PAC. I have worked with them on agricultural policy for years and look forward to working with them in Congress,” said Finstad. “Farmers in southern Minnesota face many obstacles, I am thankful for their support, and I am ready to fight for them in Washington, D.C.”
Finstad, who farms on land near New Ulm that has been in their family for generations and served as President Trump’s Minnesota director for USDA Rural Development and in the Minnesota legislature, won the Republican primary in the Special Election for Minnesota’s First Congressional District on May 24. The candidate elected in the upcoming Special Election on August 9 will serve out the remainder of the late Congressman Jim Hagedorn’s term. Finstad is also a candidate for the full two-year term that will be on the ballot in August and November.
